UPDATE: We’ve had some technical problems at the site, and will get it back up and running properly very soon. The galleries still work, so dip in and have a look.

Go visit A Distant Soil, my other website for more frequent updates and art. Also, I have a twitter and Facebook Fan Page, so check it out there!

A selection of my portrait sketches for official Lord of the Rings trading cards.

Boromir is my favorite character, and it was nice to draw Sean Bean with a big smile on his face!

Right now I’m working on more Star Wars trading cards, as well as new graphic novels for DC Comics’ Vertigo Division. The story is written by Warren Ellis. And I am also painting a new graphic novel by a New York Times bestselling author, who must remain unnamed for now! The publisher is Dark Horse.

Thanks to the websites which linked to my call for A Distant Soil original art for restoration and archiving, with special thanks to Bleeding Cool. Restoring all the work on a 1000 page graphic novel is quite a challenge, and I am very grateful to everyone for their help.

Extra special good news this week was finding out my new graphic novel with Derek McCulloch, Gone to Amerikay, was tapped by the School Library Journal Association as a top three graphic novel pick thus far for 2012. Ask for it at your local library, and support graphic novels and comics!

My last graphic novel with Barry Lyga, Mangaman, was picked as a great graphic novel as well by the Young American Library Association. It placed second at the New York Book Show for design.

Your great support this year warms my heart! I am so glad you like my work, and I truly enjoy bringing it to you!
